Day by Day Itinerary

 Day 01- Entry Beijing
When you arrive in the capital city Beijing, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional tour guide at the Beijing airport and transferred to the best Holiday Inn Hotel in Beijing. We would like to leave the rest of the day on your own to recover at the hotel or walk around in the city to get familiar.


Day 02 - Beijing
After one night breaking, the hotel will prepare a decent breakfast for you. Our guide will present a pre-tour introduction and introduce you to other group members at your hotel. Then your whole group will be led to the Tian'anmen Square as your first stop. This square has an area of 440,000 square meters and has become a relaxing place for the common people to fly kites and walk. For better feel the grand Chinese history, our guide will take you to the world-famous Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. The Forbidden City is lay at the center of Beijing, which is called Gugong in Chinese. Nowadays, the Forbidden City, or the Palace Museum is open to tourists home and abroad. This night, we will arrange you a traditional Beijing Duck Dinner valued CNY122.00 net per person to welcome your arrival. The wonderful Peking Opera Performance at the Liyuan Theatre will be followed. (B, L, D)



Day 03 - Beijing
In the morning, our guide will take you to the one of the world-famous eight wonders - Badaling Great Wall, which is the earliest section to be open to the tourists among all the parts of the whole Great Wall. This immense wall was built to keep out invaders as well as to retain the inhabitants. In order to avoid having the cheap and inferior lunch, we will specially arrange a generous lunch for you at a local popular Sichuan food restaurant. In the afternoon, transfer you to the Sacred Way and the Dingling Tomb. In the front part of the imperial necropolises, there usually is a Sacred Way (or Divine Road) which means the road leading to heaven. Among many Sacred Ways, the one leading to Dingling Tomb is best preserved and complete. After passing through this road, you will reach the Dingling Tomb, the mausoleum of Emperor Zhu Yijun, the thirteenth emperor during the Ming Dynasty. You will also have a chance to enter the underground chambers, but take care if you have heart problems, for the atmosphere and dull lighting there can be a problem. The whole day tour will come to end after seeing the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) afar on the way back, you may take some pictures for few minutes if you like. For dinner of this evening, we would like to arrange an a la carte meal valued CNY100.00 net per person for you at a reputed restaurant in the famous Wangfujing area. (B, L, D)

  Day 04 - Beijing/ Xian
Before go to the next stop, have a tour to the Summer Palace, which is the largest imperial garden in the world and it is a veritable museum of classical Chinese garden architecture. Then have a short stay at the Beijing zoo to see lovely Pandas. After a close contact with the pandas, you will be transferred to the airport and fly to the ancient Xian. Our guide will welcome you and transfer you to the deluxe 5-star Hyatt Regency Hotel in the downtown area. After a short rest, we will arrange you a delicious buffet dinner at your hotel, which is valued CNY170.00 net per person. (B, L, D)


Day 05 - Xian
The first place to visit in Xian must be the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. The terra cotta soldiers are remarkably realistic sculptures. The figures are mostly 1.8 meters (5 feet 11 inches) in height, the lower part of the body being solid and the upper part hollow. After the whole morning visit, you will have an a la carte lunch valued CNY80.00 net per person at a finest Sichuan restaurant to restore your energy. The tour in the afternoon only includes the famous Buddhist Big Wild Goose Pagoda located about 4 kilometers away from the urban center. Tonight, you will be treated to a marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show at the Tang Dynasty Palace. (B, L, D)


Day 06 - Xian
Today's tour will commence in the city area. Visit the City Wall, which encircles the city in a rectangle with one gate on each side. The wall was built of earth, rammed layer upon layer during the early time. The base layer was made of earth, quick lime, and glutinous rice extract, tempered together. This made the wall extremely strong and firm. At noon, your will be transferred to a local famous restaurant to have a la carte lunch of CNY80.00 net per person. In the afternoon, proceed to a local family to talk with the host and experience the local life. Then have a short visit to the Great Mosque in the Muslim residential area. There is a very famous Muslim Bazaar nearby, you will have some free time to stroll around and select some interesting things or souvenirs for you or your family. This evening, your a la carte dinner of the same value will be arranged at a well-known Sichuan cuisine restaurant. (B, L, D) 
 
  

  Day 07 - Xian/ Chongqing
Today, comfortable transfer will take you to the Xianyang airport for the flight to Chongqing. On the way, you will pass by the Hanyangling Museum - the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi. After a short visit, get to the airport and board the flight to Chongqing. Our guide will wait for you according to your flight schedule and transfer you to the downtown. Before boarding the deluxe 5-star New Century Cruise Ship, we will arrange you having a decent dinner at a local noted restaurant. (B, D)

 Day 08 - Chongqing/ Fengdu
At 08:00 am, your memorable Yangtze River tour begins. This morning, join in the activities arranged in the ship to have a good preparation for your Yangtze Exploration. In the afternoon the ship will stop for your initial onshore excursion to the Snow Jade Cave( B, L, D)

 

 Day 09 - Badong/ Xiling Gorge/ Sandouping
You will visit Badong and take a small junk for a close-up view of the breath-taking natural splendors along the Shennong Stream. You are sure to be impressed by the dexterity the team of trackers as they push and haul the wooden sampans over the rapids. Back to China Regal to continue your cruise into the western section of the Xiling Gorge and pass through the five-step ship lock. (B, L, D)


Day 10 - Sandouping/ Yichang/ Shanghai
Your sweet cruise tour will be concluded after visiting the under construction Three Gorges Dam Project. Then pack up and disembark the cruise ship. Our guide will meet you on board and drive you to Yichang to visit the Yichang Museum in the downtown area. After lunch, transfer you to Yichang airport and fly to modern city - Shanghai. Another local guide will pick you up at Shanghai airport and transfer you to the 5-star JC Mandarin Hotel. We plan to leave the rest day free for your flexible plan and the dinner is also on your side. (B, L)

  Day 11 - Shanghai

You will visit the Shanghai Museum in People's Square. This museum was established in 1952 and reputed to be one of the four largest museums in China. Then continue to the beautiful Yuyuan Garden, each pavilion, hall, stone and stream in the garden can express the quintessence of South China landscape design from Ming and Qing dynasties. After lunch, have a short cruise tour on the Huangpu River in the afternoon. You can enjoy a sight of rows of magnificent buildings on the banks and ships of different sizes briskly plying the Huangpu River. After sightseeing, you are invited to the Farewell Dinner valued at CNY105.00 net per person at Wang Bao He in Central Hotel, which enjoys 260 years history and serves the best Shanghai Cuisine. Following the dinner is a fascinating Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. Our guide will transfer your group back to the hotel and see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.   Day 12 - Exit

Your pleasant China tour will come to end on this day. After having a big breakfast at the hotel, pack your luggage and check out the hotel before 12 o'clock. Then take a shuttle bus to get to the airport for your homeward flight on your own. However, if you plan to stay on rather than return home right away, our tour specialists will be pleased to arrange an extension private tour for you! (B)



Tips:
In Shanghai there are two airports: Hongqiao Airport (SHA) and Pudong Airport (PVG). Please make sure you will go to the right one before departure. You may book a taxi through your hotel reception to avoid any long waiting at the gate. The rate is about CNY150 - 170 for one hour's drive to PVG and CNY30.00 for 20 minutes drive to SHA. Alternatively, you may take the hotel shuttle bus to the airport. It is less expensive. Please contact the hotel reception for more information.
